Location:  Village Vets, Dundrum

Reports to: Head Nurse

Schedule: 5 day a week 1 in 4 Saturdays 1 in 12 Sundays

Salary: €29,432.00 per year

About the role

Our Dundrum, South Dublin branch, joined the Village Vets family in 2013 and is well equipped with modern facilities including three consult rooms, a dedicated dental room and separate cat and dog wards. We even play relaxing classical music to keep our cats calm, with more lively stations played to keep our dogs company

• Greet all visitors and welcome them to the clinic

• Answer and direct phone calls

• Schedule appointments

• Checking in patients

• Collecting payments

• Maintain records as necessary

• Manage the receptionist area and assist with admin tasks as needed

• Assist Vet nurses and Vets with patient care when necessary

• Undertaking additional tasks as may be assigned

About you

The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer service and delivering an excellent client experience; you will be the first point of contact for clients and patients at our clinic.

• Minimum 2 years reception experience (required)

• Ideally one-year Veterinary receptionist experience

• Ability to maintain a positive attitude

• You are highly motivated, hard-working, and a strong team player

• You have excellent customer care and communication skills and a genuine commitment to delivering the highest standards of animal welfare and patient care
