Graduate Veterinary Nurse, Full Time, Clondalkin
Alongside our busy GP caseload, we provide five referral services: endoscopy, laparoscopy (keyhole surgery), dentistry, feline medicine, and internal medicine.

Reports to: Head Nurse / Lead Vet
Schedule: 40/h week - 4 days a week, 1:4 Saturdays 9-5, 1:13 Sundays (OOH day shift - VV Dundrum)
Salary: €31,000 - €42,000

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in small animal practice; however, we are also happy to hear from motivated new graduates who are eager to learn and develop their skills in a supportive environment.
About the Role
As a Graduate RVN, you will be supported by experienced nurses, vets, and a dedicated Head Nurse, with structured guidance, mentoring, and opportunities for ongoing learning. You will play an important role in patient care and client experience while developing your clinical and professional skills in line with Village Vets’ standards and the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI).
Support vets with procedures including anaesthesia, diagnostics, and surgery under supervision.
Administer treatments and provide high‑quality nursing care to patients and inpatients.
Maintain excellent hygiene standards and accurate clinical records, including medication handling.
Assist with front‑of‑house duties and stock control as needed.
Develop clinical skills through training, mentorship, and hands‑on experience.
Promote Pet Health Plans and Pet Insurance to clients.
Complete ad hoc nursing or administrative duties and contribute to an outstanding client experience through teamwork and professionalism.
About You
Qualified or soon‑to‑qualify RVN with eligibility for VCI registration.
Keen to work in a progressive, supportive small animal practice; previous placement experience is an advantage.
Good communication skills with a professional, caring approach to patients and clients.
Willing to learn and develop clinical skills, with growing confidence in basic nursing care.
Able to work well in a fast‑paced environment with good organisation and time management.
A reliable team player who is enthusiastic, motivated, and happy to ask for support when needed.
