Castletown's grounds make for a genuinely lovely lunchtime walk along the river. The clinic is on Shackelton Road with free parking, and Celbridge town centre has plenty of cafés and everyday amenities close by. The M4 makes the commute manageable from most of west Dublin and Kildare, and the Hazelhatch train line is an option too. After hours, the local clubs are well worth getting involved in - GAA especially draws a big crowd.

Leixlip takes its name from the Old Norse for "salmon leap," a nod to the weir where the River Liffey meets the Rye Water. Leixlip Castle, one of the oldest continuously inhabited buildings in Ireland, still overlooks the river, and the Royal Canal and Liffey Valley make for a good lunchtime walk. Two train stations and the M4 keep the commute simple from Dublin, Maynooth or west Kildare, and with Intel's campus anchoring the local economy alongside GAA, rugby (Barnhall RFC) and soccer clubs, it's a town with small-community feel and city-easy access.
